Michael Creter

Michael Creter is a Lieutenant with the Hartford Police Department, serving the city for more than seventeen years. He has worked in the patrol division as an officer and supervisor, was an operator and team leader of the Emergency Response Team, is the commander of the Street Crimes Unit, and has been a full-time academy instructor, supervisor, or adjunct instructor for over a decade. Michael is a Master Instructor in the L.O.C.K.U.P. Arrest & Control system training new and current instructors in the system throughout the country. As an instructor, Michael specializes in teaching Use of Force, Defensive Tactics, and Less Lethal Force Options. He also provides training, analysis and review for other police agencies and organizations.
